Twisted History and its proprietor, G. Armour Van Horn, are committed to protecting the privacy of our visitors and subscribers. We gather information from visitors in two different contexts which are treated completely differently.
Subscribers: The Twisted History mailing list is used only for distributing the daily mailings and corresponding with subscribers about their subscription. We sell advertising in the daily mailing, but we do not make the list available to any third parties for any use.
Visitor Feedback: There are links in the daily mailing and throughout the site to leave comments or provide items that may be used in future issues. In general the identity of those leaving comments will not be used, although it is possible that particularly pithy comments or additional enlightening details made by visitors will be quoted. It is our policy to confirm that such use is acceptable, but if, in the sole discretion of the editor, the comment was clearly made as a public statement the feedback may be published with name and city. Further, if the comment clearly invites a subscriber/visitor response we may publish sufficient information to make this possible without confirmation.
